On October 25, the cast of 2 Good 2 Be True sat down with the press to discuss the last three weeks of the show.
Director Mae Cruz-Alviar expressed the difficulty of letting go of the story, but it’s the right thing to do.
“Mahirap magpaalam. Kumbaga sa relasyon, parang okay naman kayo, masaya kayo. Why end something good? But then, maganda nang mag-end kayo on a high note,” said the director.
Phenomenal star Kathryn Bernardo thought that the audiences are smart enough to know between a ‘forced’ and not. Thus, ending the show is better as expected.
“The viewers now are very smart. So alam nila kapag pinilit mo na lang. Kapag pinapahaba mo na lang for the sake of filling the episodes. Mahirap bitawan ‘yung show, sa totoo lang…
But then, ayaw namin ipilit… You just watch for the finale and see kung ano ‘yung sinasabi ko na it’s enough na talaga,” Bernardo emphasized.
Matinée idol Daniel Padilla admitted that he did not expect the show would get warm appreciation from the audience.
“Hindi ko inakala na ganito tatanggapin itong show namin kasi we have done many shows together,” he shared.
2G2BT was the most anticipated comeback series of the box-office pair KathNiel.
At present, it is the most-watched series on Netflix Philippines and the first local show to premiere on the said platform.
