On October 4, Kapamilya stars Lovi Poe and Piolo Pascual recalled what it was like working with each other in the Kapamilya series.
At the media conference for Flower of Evil Finale with the press, including LionhearTV, Poe noted how much she wanted to work with Pascual on more projects.
“Of course, I pray that/ I get to work with Piolo Again. Kasi, ‘yun nga like what he said kanina, parang nakakabitin. I feel like there’s so much more that we can do. And ‘yun we spent like how many months together, and I feel like /that there’s so much more that we can do–so, I would love to do a movie with him. We’ve talked about this before, kahit nga mag-MMK kami.”
He also described Pascual as a funny person behind the camera.
“We’ve been doing drama for a while, and you guys don’t know or don’t realize how funny he is behind the camera, and that is something that I’d like people to see more of him.”
As for Pascual, he compared Poe to a chameleon in terms of acting skills.
“‘Yung Mahal ko, puro love life, pero, what I really enjoyed about her is being a chameleon. Coming into the show, siya ‘yung bago, pero ‘yung binigay niya. I mean, she was always scared, she was always fearful– because you know parang ang laki ng scope ng character niya.”
He also attested to how much he and Poe supported each other on set.
“But siguro, one thing that made it easy, chemistry-wise– she was really there. ‘Yun innate talent, her skills, I was floored, I mean talagang, we really draw on each other’s emotions.
“And it was easy for us because we both wanted to make it work. And make it more beautiful, so we were on the same page the whole time. She was supporting me– and I was /supporting/ her through and through until the end. Kaya nga nakakabitin, kasi alam mong pwede pa.”
He also detailed how committed Poe was to her role, especially her character’s physicality during scenes.
“Mayroon pa kayong pwedeng gawin. And watching her do different scenes, especially ‘yung mga action scenes niya, it was a delight to watch because walang pakialam miski ma-aksidente, binato ni Joko Diaz, tumama ‘yung likod niya, she was okay, she was always game. Anything to make it work, so nakaka-miss ‘yung ganon. Sobra-sobrang nakaka-appreciate kapag napanood mo.”
Poe and Pascual star in the Pinoy adaptation of this Korean hit series with Paulo Avelino.
They also have a stellar supporting cast, such as JC de Vera, Agot Isidro, Denise Laurel, Epy Quizon, Rita Avila, Jett Pangan, Pinky Amador, Joross Gamboa, Joko Diaz, and Edu Manzano.
