The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board on Wednesday summoned “Eat Bulaga” executives to a mandatory conference over the live airing on their segment ‘Juan for All, All for Juan’ of the“alleged to be insensitive to women” on July 9.

In the controversial episode of “Eat Bulaga!,” Sen. Tito Sotto scolded the winner of their Bayanihan segment for her supposed drinking habit and for wearing shorts. Sotto implied that it was the woman’s fault why she was taken advantage of because of her being drunk and her clothes. His remarks towards the Sugod Bahay winner earned negative reactions from the netizens.
In a statement, MTRCB summomed the “Eat Bulaga” executives as well as those of the network concerned “Due to the program’s ‘Parental Guidance” (PG) dassification, (which allows it a younger audience) and taking into account norms of gender sensitivity undet the law (particularly, 516, R.A. 9710).”
MTRCB chair Eugenio “Toto” Villareal scheduled the said dialog July 21 at 8:303 a.m. at the MTRCB offices in Quezon City.
