Kapuso actor Alden Richards highlighted how the new Kapuso Bea Alonzo put good pressure on the cast of Start-Up at the media conference for the GMA Network series with the press, including LionhearTV, on September 17, 2022.
Richards recounted working with Alonzo before she signed with the Kapuso Network.
“First time namin mag-work ni B po is sa isang endorsement sa Bangkok, doon kami nagkita, nasa kabila pa siya noon. Parang sabi ko noon na looking forward ako na one day, magkaroon kami ng project together, and ito na nga.
“Kung baga parang ganon din eh, Start Up, natutupad ‘yung mga pangarap eh.”
He then lauded Alonzo for her commitment and effort to the series, which brought him ‘good pressure to keep up with the actress.
“So ‘yung mga nakita ko with Bea dito sa Start Up, she puts good pressure on me, on us actually. Kasi, never pong– never akong nagkaroon ng eksena with Bea na hindi niya memorized ‘yung linya niya.
“So– and the way she handles her character parang sabi ko sa sarili ko noong nakakaeksena ko na siya dito sa Start Up, sabi ko parang hindi ako pwedeng petiks ah, parang ‘yung style ko before na chill-chill lang, parang mas dinagdagan ko ng kaunti, kasi ang hirap naman na itong taong ito, pinapakitaan ka ng effort and ibinibigay ‘yung one hundred percent niya everyday, and hindi mo gagawin ‘yung trabaho mo ng tama, so it’s a good pressure for us.”
As for Alonzo’s camaraderie with her fellow Start-Up cast members, Richards confirmed how engaging the actress was with her co-stars.
“Sobrang magaling makisama nito ni B, kita ko din naman ‘yun the first time we’ve met sa Bangkok, parang four hours straight po kaming nag-usap hindi kami nauubusan ng topic. So ganon pa din po kami dito. I’m sure me, and all the cast, we’re very proud to have a Bea Alonzo in the show.”
