Spearheaded by the Events and Publicity Unit of GMA Artist Center, this very special occasion was celebrated last May 17 at Kaisahang Buhay Foundation at Cubao, Quezon City, a home of unwed and single mothers, the homegrown talents serenaded their ways to the hearts of these moms.
“Personally, I’m very close to my mom so this event is really heartwarming especially we know that in our own little ways, we can help and make them happy.”, says Indio star and one of the most sought after leading man of his time, Aljur Abrenica.
The male stars prepared a program to lift a breeze of happiness to the moms who we knew had rough times in their lives. After the serenade, they also gave a little something brought by our very generous partners like Bench, Century Tuna, Calayan Surgicentre, Erase Placenta, Ok Quench and Guitar 360. As for without their help, this event wouldn’t be possible.
Mike and Steven both agreed that they can’t make it to where they are today without their moms. “My mom has always been supportive of my career since day one, since Starstruck days until now, I always come to her for pieces of advice especially when the showbiz ways of life gets to me at times.”, “My mom helped me a lot. Since I grew up in the States, she helped me adjust to the new environment and helped me to keep my feet stay grounded no matter what.” echoed Steven.
The love and care of our mothers is irreplaceable. Since the time of our conception and all the hard work after that, they never gave up on us even though we knew for a fact that we all bring headaches at times. One of the fast-rising young stars of today, Ken Chan admitted to give his mom his share of naughtiness, “Who doesn’t? Haha! But still, my mom has always been there for me. No ifs, no buts, just pure motherly love.”
With our moms on our backs, the right talent and skill and a big determination, there’s definitely no stopping us from achieving our goals and making it to the top.
