The cast and production had a pleasant experience taping Running Man Philippines in South Korea, shared by Senior Vice President for GMA Entertainment Group Lilybeth Rasonable on August 27.
During the press conference for the show held at Robinsons Manila Midtown Atrium, Rasonable said that South Koreans were very hospitable, just like Filipinos.
“Very warm. Para din silang mga Pinoy. Winelcome talaga tayong mga Pilipino doon and they were so unselfish, very generous na mag-share ng kanilang knowledge sa produksyon, sa creative, at tsaka sa lahat ng aspeto, and of course, para i-share ang kanilang napakagandang kultura at ng kanilang bansa.”
The show was in collaboration with SBS and GMA Network, thus the reason they had to fly to the country.
The Running Man Ph team took two years before they began production. They were supposed to shoot most of the show’s episodes in the Philippines, with only a few in South Korea.
However, the pandemic prevented them from doing so, said the GMA head.
“Kaya lang, urong siya nang urong dahil sa lockdown, tsaka nagsara din naman ang Korea.
“So noong nagbukas ang Korea, naisip na doon na lang lahat gawin. Kaya medo sa tagal ng paghihintay–maganda, nakapaghanda naman ng maigi para mai-stage ang Running Man ng best way possible, and the safest way possible.”
Running Man Philippines is hosted by Mikael Daez, Glaiza De Castro, Ruru Madrid, Buboy Villar, Lexi Gonzales, Kokoy de Santos, and Angel Guardian.
The show will be aired beginning on September 3.
