Kapuso star Jeric Gonzales and Asia’s Multimedia actor Alden Richards expressed on Sunday, August 21, how honored and pressured they were to star alongside Bea Alonzo in the upcoming Kapuso Filipino adaptation Start-Up PH.
In the press conference held in Davao City, Gonzales admitted that he never in his dreams that he expected to be working with the actress, let alone on her first-ever project with GMA Network.
“At first, hindi talaga ako makapaniwala kasi siyempre pinapanuod ko lang ito dati, idol na idol ko ito si Bea. Tapos ngayon…hindi ko talaga in-expect—never kong in-expect na makaka-work ko siya talaga. Tapos first show niya po, so I’m very blessed,” the actor told the press and LionhearTV.
Gonzales also lauded Alonzo regarding her etiquette as a co-worker.
“Tapos si Bea, sobrang gaan niya katrabaho and sobrang galing niya talaga, sobrang galing. Professionalism-wise, ‘yung mga linya, memorized niya lahat. Then giver din siya na aktres. Talagang tutulungan ka niya.”
On the other hand, Richards expressed admiration for her, describing her as one of the “pillars of the industry.” The actor said that the actress puts “good pressure” on the cast, motivating them to be better in every scene.
“Given the opportunity to have worked with her is a great chance for us, hindi lang sa akin, kundi sa aming lahat sa Start-Up. Kasi she gives us good pressure.
“Sobra-sobra ang mastery niya sa craft. So parang that puts us at the edge of our seats. Kasi kapag Bea Alonzo ang ka-eksena mo dapat kailangan memorized mo ang mga linya mo, kailangan alam mo ang gagawin mo, dapat nakikinig ka sa direktor.”
He also said he would cherish the project since he is working with Alonzo.
“Given the opportunity na kasama siya sa isang proyekto, na ganito kalaki, like Start-Up PH, parang I guess is a great opportunity and one for the books for me. I’m really happy to have been working with Bea since Start-Up.”
The upcoming Kapuso series is directed by Jerry Lopez Sineneng and will have its season premiere in September.
