Controversial director Yap is currently in Dubai to promote his film outside the country.

On July 29, via a Facebook post, VinCentiments issued a statement regarding the accusations of the Maid in Malacañang movie flopping in cinemas.
“Walang naniniwala sa Talo, lalo na kung nagyabang bago matalo at mayabang pa rin pagkatapos matalo,” they posted.
“Yung mga nagsabing lalangawin ang Maid in Malacañang, sila rin ang nagsabi na mananalo si Leni Robredo.”
Via a tweet, P3PWD Party-list Rep. Rowena Guanzon hinted at a movie that will flop on the big screens.

On August 3, Viva Films and Sen. Marcos said the success of Maid in Malacañang means the revitalization of Philippine cinema.
