Nikowl shared still photos featuring the actress from different films.
“Cherie Gil was one of a kind. She made kontrabidas more exciting. One of the most glamorous stars to grace Philippine cinemas for sure. She exuded class and poise every time you see her. What a loss for us. Here are some of her roles from the 80s/90s/00s/10s.

I, myself, tweeted something to remind the Filipino viewers of the late actress’s brilliance. I posted a clip from the ensemble drama, Ikaw Lamang (2014), where she singularly played the role of Miranda Hidalgo.. “I know when people talk about the brilliance of Cherie Gil, they mostly remember her iconic moments in Bituing Walang Ningning, Gulong ng Palad, or Marina. But let’s not forget how singular her performance as Señora Miranda Salazar-Hidalgo was, in Ikaw Lamang. Rest in Power,” my tweet reads.

“One of Cherie Gil’s best TV performances was her role as Amanda in the adaptation of Gina Marissa Tagasa and Carlo J. Caparas’s Pieta, originally played by the great Charito Solis. Cast against type, she played the role of Agoncillo’s sacrificial and selfless mother,” he said in his tweet.
