Showbiz columnist Lolit Solis took to social media to express her opinion on the recent issue between Sen. Imee Marcos and journalist Karen Davila.
On June 1, Karen Davila interviewed Sen. Imee Marcos regarding the senate presidency rumors and the Marcos administration.
Before the interview, Davila reportedly said that she would leave the country if ever Bongbong Marcos would win his presidential run.
Sen. Imee Marcos then confronted Davila regarding this issue wherein the journalist simply said that she is “always hoping for the best of the country.”
In her Instagram post on June 2, Manay Lolit implied that Karen Davila did not know how to be responsible with her words.
“Iyon kaso ni Karen Davila Salve na nakakatanggap ngayon ng bashing dahil sinabi niyang lalayas siya ng Pilipinas pag nanalo si Bongbong Marcos kagaya din ng kaso ng ibang celebrities na ang bilis magsalita na ngayon ay hindi alam kung paano babawiin ang mga nasabi nila.”
Although there’s no confirmation that Karen Davila did make the pronouncement–she still got bashed for her alleged statement.
Manay Lolit then advised the people to be aware of the consequences their words hold.
“Iyan ang sinasabi ko, huwag basta bibitaw ng salita na baka hindi mo kaya ang magiging resulta. Think before saying,” she said.

Meanwhile, Karen Davila addressed her bashers that she remained her professional demeanor when Sen. Imee Marcos confronted her regarding her alleged statement.
“Let me set the record straight on this one. Sen Imee Marcos on #ANCHeadstart joked about me still being in the PH after her brother’s victory to which I replied…
““ALWAYS HOPING FOR THE BEST FOR THE COUNTRY” Yan po ang sagot ko.
“Napikon po ba ako? Hindi po. Sen Imee Marcos also sent me an apology by text after the show. All good. Salamat!” she said.
