On May 26, actor Alex Diaz recalled going in and out of relationships at the media conference for the VivaMax movie, PaThirsty.
Diaz said that throughout his experience dating, he realized that he didn’t know how to be in a relationship.
“In the past–I have been in and out of relationships. And I realized I have no idea how to be in a relationship. So, at 27 years old, I told myself, you know I’m going to start dating again, but I’m not going to date to fall in love. Hindi ako magde-date to have a relationship, kasi I think a lot of people have this stigma about dating na, kapag date, kailangan either type mo or hindi.”
He preferred to go on dates now to build friendships instead of romantic relationships.
“Pwede rin naman siya maging ka-date na, ‘Oh that was a really great date, gusto ko maging friends, gusto ko maging business partner. Oh, parang masarap itong ka-hiking or something like that.’ It doesn’t always have to lead into a relationship.”
He then shared his experience going on a speed dating hosted by his friend.
“So recently, I did this random thing, he hosted a speed dating thing, and you pay like Php 500, you have unlimited drinks, and you guys have this– you sit around in a circle like you have this one minute to meet somebody, and it was a lot of fun. So going all out in a first date for me, wag na, mag-usap na lang tayo. Let’s get to know each other. Tsaka na lang tayo mag-all out.”
As for his sexy comedy movie, PaThirsty stars Adrianna So, Kych Minemoto, Alex Diaz, Chad Kinis, Bob Jbeili, and Kate Alejandrino.
Under the direction of Ivan Andrew Payawal, PaThirsty premieres on Vivamax Plus on June 1 and streams on Vivamax on June 29.
