On May 24, Kapamilya artist and vlogger Ivana Alawi said she felt touched by Gerald Anderson’s care while taping their series.
During the media conference for her upcoming series, A Family Affair, Alawi recalled how Anderson would look after her while they were on set.
“Sobrang nata-touch ako sa pagiging maalaga niya kasi may scene na parang tumatakbo ako na parang nakapaa, siya mismo ‘yung nagwa-walis.
“May scene na tumatakbo ng nakapaa, tapos sabi ni Gerald sa akin, ‘Ha tatakbo ka, wala kang tsinelas?’ Pero, nawalis na nila, okay lang ‘yan. Sabi niya, ‘Hindi hindi akina ‘yung walis,’ tapos nagwawalis siya.”
She then cited how Anderson remained professional and focused on his character.
“Katulad kay Gerald nahihiya akong biruin pa, kasi si Gerald naman he’s very professional lalo na pag nasa taping. Tapos nag iinternalize siya. Tapos pag pumapasok siya sa character ang galing talaga. Tapos ako nahihiya kasi parang ayaw kong magbiro kay Gerald kasi professional talaga.”
When asked about the most “jowable” character in the series, Alawi said it was Paco, portrayed by Anderson.
“Kasi feeling ko siya ‘yung parang mahal na mahal niya si Cherry Red.
“Mas gusto ko ‘yung mahal na mahal ako kaysa ‘yung mas mahal na mahal ko siya.”
As for their series, Alawi and Anderson are in the upcoming Kapamilya production, Family Affair. Other Kapamilya leading men such as Sam Milby, Jameson Blake, and Jake Ejercito are joining them.
The series follows the story of Cherry Red and how she meets the Estrella brothers.
A Family Affair, directed by Raymund Ocampo and Jerome Pobocan, premieres soon on Kapamilya platforms.
