Kapuso TV host Kuya Kim Atienza heeded the call of President-elect Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to pray for him as he will lead the country on Thursday, May 26.
In a statement following his proclamation as the Philippines’ next president, Marcos Jr. asked every citizen to pray for him and wish him well as he perform his duties as the country’s President.
He also added that whenever the President does well, the county does well also.
In response, Kuya Kim Atienza shared a bible verse on Instagram about praying for kings and those in authority.
In his Instagram post, Kuya Kim shared 1 Timoty 2:1-2, which says: “I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.”

Meanwhile, Kapamilya broadcast journalist Karen Davila commented on Kuya Kim’s post, “Amen, Yes.”
Kapamilya singer-host Gary Valenciano also agreed with Kuya Kim, “I will be Kim.”
Kuya Kim has always been known for his safe stance in politics.
He has always shunned vocal criticisms against the government’s abuses and misdeeds. Most of the time, he will always lean on his faith and bible verses to communicate his stands on the socio-civic problems of the country.
