Breadwinner Loisa Andalio on Friday, May 20, admitted that it was a challenge for her to continue providing for her family because of the pandemic along with ABS-CBN’s shutdown.
“Kasi pandemic, nagsara ang ABS, wala kaming makuhaan ng source of income para sa family mo, financially, may pinag-aaral ako ng college, mga high school, ganiyan,” admitted the actress during the press conference for her upcoming seriesĀ Love in 40 Days.
The Kapamilya Network’s shutdown in 2020 during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic caused 11,000 Filipinos to be jobless.
Andalio, 23, stated that she does not want her family to see her as “hopeless.” The only option for her is to continue moving forward.
Another challenge for the actress was that her business, LoiSalon, closed down due to the pandemic. This resulted in Andalio experiencing depression.
“Wala na yung LoiSalon. Isa pa yun. Kaya sobrang stressed kasi mga business talaga nag-close. Kaya mahirap.
Luckily, her boyfriend and co-star in the series, Ronnie Alonte, stood by her side.
“Magkasama kami. Actually same situation kami. As in mahirap, mahirap po talaga.
Love in 40 DaysĀ is directed by Manny Palo and Jojo Saguin. It will premiere on May 30 on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z, and TV5, with two-day advanced episodes on iWantTFC.
