On May 15, Aicelle Santos shared on Facebook her sentiments about the recently-concluded national elections 2022.
The singer-songwriter respects democracy, so she full-heartedly accepted the result despite the irregularities that arose during the elections last May 9.
As a proud Kakampink, Santos assured Vice President Leni Robredo that their love for the country would remain amidst the loss of Robredo.
Santos also wished that the newly-elected officials would rightfully lead the country and their respective places.
Santos also wrote that the citizens will continue to abide by the law but remain critical of the government’s incompetence.
“Andito ang bayan, susunod habang nagbabantay,
Gagawa ng tama ngunit pupunahin ang mali.”
She also added the importance of knowing the country’s history for Filipinos to appreciate the freedom and democracy they currently enjoy.
Attached to her post is a photo of a marvelous sunset view that she took in Batangas.
The Bongbong Marcos and Sara Duterte tandem of the Uniteam party are currently presumed as the new President and Vice President of the Philippines after earning more than 30 million votes individually.
