On May 10, Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu reacted to reports of alleged vote-buying during the 2022 elections.
Chiu reposted a report of an alleged vote-buying in Ilocos pointing to presidential frontrunner Ferdinand Bongbong Marcos Jr.’s camp.
She questioned the people participating in the alleged vote-buying in her Cebuano dialect.

After that, she retweeted a post from fellow Kapamilya artist Robi Domingo urging the public to remain vigilant amid reported incidents of broken VCMs or Vote Counting Machines.

Chiu also tweeted about her experience of lining up for almost three hours to cast her vote for the 2022 elections.

Earlier, Chiu expressed her support for presidential candidate Leni Robredo during her campaign for the presidency.
According to the partial unofficial results of the 2022 elections, Marcos Jr. leads the presidency with over 31 million votes, while his running mate Sara Duterte currently leads the race for the vice presidency.
The Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) is currently tallying the hard copies of election returns from the precincts for the 2022 elections.
