Romnick Sarmenta rebuts Isko Moreno’s statement about the country’s continued struggle regardless if “red” or “yellow” will win

Certified Kakampink Romnick Sarmenta took to social media to respond to Isko Moreno’s statement about the country’s never-ending turmoil regardless of who will win between “red” or “yellow.”

At Moreno’s campaign rally on April 30 held in Lingayen, Pangasinan, he mentioned that regardless of who will win in the presidential elections with the political colors of “red” or “yellow”, the country will still be a mess.

“Hindi na matatapos ang away ng pula at dilaw, either of them kung sino ang iboboto nyo, and I will respect that whoever you are going to vote whether pula o dilaw because this is democracy. And I respect everyone’s rights, views, and opinions.”

Presidential aspirant Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr has the political color of red. On the other hand, Vice President Leni Robredo is highly associated with the yellow political color even though her current color is pink.

Back in 2016, her political color was yellow under the Liberal Party where she ran and won the vice-presidential position.

In Romnick Sarmenta’s tweet on May 1, he challenged Isko Moreno’s statement saying that the country will continue to struggle if the elected leader is rubbish.

I politely disagree with the statement that says:
Di matatapos ang gulo kapag pula o dilaw ang manalo.

Ang tamang statement ay:
Di matatapos ang gulo, kapag trapo ang nanalo.

We deserve a better government, that is transparent, accountable and pro-Philippines.#LeniKiko

People in the comment section also agreed with Sarmenta’s statement as they also wanted the country to have responsible leaders.

As of this writing, presidential candidate Isko Moreno still did not give his response to Sarmenta’s rebuttal.
