On April 26, UP Fighting Maroons basketball star player Ricci Rivero expressed his support to his girlfriend Kapamilya actress Andrea Brillantes and her efforts to convert him to be a Kakampink.
Rivero posted a series of Instagram stories documenting Brillantes’ strides to persuade him to change his presidential bet from Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr. to Leni Robredo.
His IG stories showed Rivero showcasing the Leni Robredo campaign paraphernalia Brillantes put on his car window, phone case, tumbler, and ID lace.
Rivero even wrote, “I’ll support you, supporting whoever love!”
He also defended Brillantes from her bashers, explaining that he’s okay with Brillantes’s efforts to try and change his presidential bet.
“Sa mga may chance magalit na ginawa niya ‘to. Hindi po dapat kasi ang sabi ko sa kanya kung ano yung feel niya na gawin, go lang. So if sa ’kin okay lang, sana sa inyo din po. She’s just trying to make me believe sa kung kanino siya naniniwala.”
He also addressed criticisms from netizens pointed against him.
“Sa mga nagagalit d’yan na I’m pretending that she converted me already, that’s not the point of me posting all these. I’m just saying na she’s trying and doing something para sa paniniwala niya. I respect her for that and kung hate lang ang dala n’yo then ‘wag niyo na lang po i-open stories ko. I’m just proud of what my girlfriend’s doing.”
He also clarified that he’s not Brillantes also tried to convert or convince others, too.
“I’m not the only person she’s trying to convert kasi ang gusto niya is mapaalam sa tao esp nasa paligid niya na kung sino yung tingin niya best for ourt countr. Kasama ako dun sa mga ‘yun and this isn’t about her being a perfect girlfriend or whatever, it’s about her doing her part to let people know, understand, and believe in someone who she thinks is best to serve all of us.”
Earlier, Brillantes tweeted that she had converted her driver and Lola to change their presidential candidate and become a Kakampink.
