On April 21, seasoned actress Sylvia Sanchez admitted having medical issues as one of the reasons why she wanted to take a hiatus from teleseryes.
In an interview with Sanchez, she confirmed that she has started feeling the impact of her age which led to her needing to rest from doing TV series.
“Sa ngayon, this year, pero next year babalik din ako.
She also listed the myriad of projects she did over the years.
Mabigat ‘yung Greatest Love, after Greatest Love, two months after mayroon akong naging kasunod. ‘Yung Hanggang Saan namin ni Arjo, nag-KathNiel pa ako, nag guest pa ako, tapos pelikula, Jesusa, tapos nag-Pamilya Ko. After Pamilya Ko–Barang, Huwag Kang Mangamba, so wala akong time para magpahinga.”
She further clarified that she wanted to be fair with the next producer when performing as an actress.
“Parang sabi ko, parang gusto ko naman magpahinga, kasi para sa akin ha, pag tumanggap ako ng teleserye na nanay nanaman, nandoon ako sa ano nanaman ‘yung pwede kong i-offer, i-arte, i-atake doon, kasi di ba? sunod-sunod, so kailangan muna magpahinga, ayusin ang lahat para pagbalik ko mayroon nanaman ako mai-ooffer, maibibigay at the same time, magiging fair ako sa producer na ibang Sylvia naman ‘yung makikita.”
She also explained that although she won’t be acting, she would still work in the entertainment industry behind the scenes.
As for her digital series, Misis Piggy stars Sylvia Sanchez alongside Ria Atayde, Iana Bernardez, Elijah Canlas, Ricky Davao, Rubi Rubi, and Fino Herrera.
