On April 8, Viva artist Cindy Miranda highlighted that being a sexy star isn’t a sin.
During the media conference for Iskandalo, Miranda answered that the stars of the Vivamax series didn’t commit any sin by becoming sexy actresses.
“I don’t think naman si God–na kasalanan po ‘yung ginawa namin. Wala po kaming kinommit na crime. Pero siyempre, hindi pare-pareho ang opinion. We are just here to entertain. Kung may mga nabastos man kami siyempre po may freedom tayo not to watch kung ano man ‘yung ginagawa namin.”
She added that she’s working for her family, friends, and future.
“Pero, hindi ko po ihihingi ng tawad because I’m here to work for my family, for my friends, for my future. As long as wala kang tinatapakan na tao, wala kang inargabyado, and I believe wala po akong inargabyado sa trabaho ko, walang masama doon.”
She then responded to people judging their series for the sexy scenes in Iskandalo.
“Unang-una mali po ‘yung haka-haka nila, so kailangan panoorin nila ‘yung Iskandalo dahil hindi mas marami ‘yung hubaran dito. Kailangan nila panoorin, this is a roller coaster of emotions. Lahat ibibigay namin, hindi lang ‘yung nasa isip nila. So sana panoorin nila ‘yung Iskandalo bago nila i-judge. Napakanda po nito.”
She also reacted to fans referring to her as ‘pantasya ng bayan,’ following her career in Viva.
“Sobrang swerte ko po na matawag na isang pantasya, kasi hindi lahat natatawag na pantasya. Ibig sabihin kaayaaya ka sa kanilang paningin. At salamat po na sana hanggang ngayon ay pantasya pa rin pa ako sa mga mata nila.”
Iskandalo stars Cindy Miranda, AJ Raval, Ayanna Misola, Jamilla Obispo, and Angela Morena.
The sexy and gritty 10-part series directed by Roman Perez Jr. premiered on Vivamax on April 10 and with new episodes each week.
