MNL48 member Abby Trinidad on Wednesday, April 6, shared the things that need to consider if one wants to be an idol like them.
She is also the chosen center girl for their comeback single No Way Man.
“Actually, it’s very hard to be part of an idol group,” admitted Trinidad during the virtual media conference for their song.
She added, “You need to sacrifice yourself, you need to be fit to be an idol because may mga standard tayo na kailangan sundan.”
If one wants to succeed in becoming an idol, internal struggles must be dealt with first, she said.
“One thing na I can say para sa mga nangangarap na maging isang idol, you need to love yourself, you need to respect yourself, you’re not allowed to stop learning. Kailangan everyday kang natututo, everyday kang nangangarap, not just for the group but also for yourself.”
Having aspirations could also give others hope.
“Of course kapag may pangarap ka, I’m sure na makaka-inspire ka ng mga tao and that’s to be a good role model,” ended the MNL member.
Meanwhile, their latest single dropped on April 1, with a seven-minute music video. It showcased the third generation Senbatsu of the Filipino idol group highlighting beautiful visuals and vocals.
No Way Man is the group’s newest release since River, which came out in November 2020.
