In a tweet on Sunday, April 3, Truefaith member Medwin Marfil revealed they were called four times to perform for the UniTeam tandem of presidential aspirant Bongbong Marcos and vice-presidential aspirant Sara Duterte.
He also doubted Eric Nicolas’ statement about his unpaid performance for the UniTeam.
“Not believable,” Marfil captioned in a reposted tweet of a quote card from Nicolas.
Truefaith previously declared its support for presidential aspirants and vice president Leni Robredo.
“Kahit na nag-declare na kami na #KakamPink ang #Truefaith we’re still being offered to play sa for Baby M.
“When we were in Borongan, our manager got a call asking if we’d play for Unitik-tik. Pang 4 na ata na offer yun. We refused, of course,” he added.
Marfil revealed that the band was offered a fee to perform for UniTeam.
“May bayad powh,” Marfil said.

Nicolas previously implied that his support for UniTeam is just a “job” to feed his family.
“Walang masamang tinapay para sa akin… trabaho po para mapakain ang pamilya ko. Minsan lang ‘to at ‘di na ako bumabata. Mabuhay ang lahat,” Nicolas wrote in a now-deleted Facebook post.
In his latest statement, Nicolas clarified that his support for Marcos and Duterte is unpaid.
He said, “Bilang paglilinaw, ako po ay nasa sirkulo ng BBM-Sara UniTeam! Ako po ay sumusuporta ata nagtatrabaho rin sa kanila ng walang bayad at tumatanaw ng utang na loob.”
