In a tweet on Wednesday, March 16, Vice Ganda reminded everyone to stay calm amid the rampant spread of hate speech online.
The comedian-host wrote, “Konting kalma. Baka di natin napapansin katulad na din tayo ng mga taong ayaw natin. O baka naman yun din tayo di lang natin maamin.”

Many netizens assumed that Vice is talking about the people who are fighting over their preferred political candidates. Some also said that the comedian should reveal his preferred political candidate.
“Sayang boses mo kung di ka magsasalita. Malaking ambag sana ‘yan.💕.”
“Let her be. She has a point. Guilty rin ako not extending grace and not showing empathy sa supporters ng kabilang side. But it’s because I’m mad at what’s happening and di ko maintindihan bkit gnun. We can call out injustice when we see it, do it gently, but don’t be silent about it.”
“Sorry Meme Vice. Pero merong panahon na kelangan mo mag all-out! Lalo na kung para sa tao. Parang pag me concert ka, di ba all-out ka for the people? Pwede rin naman natin gawin yun for a future we believe in. 😊”
“Sana the demanding supporters will not discourage you, Vice. Emotions are high. Time is running out. They are fighting online exactly the same way they did for ABS-CBN when it lost its franchise. Intindihin mo na lang po.”
The comedian did not show his support to any political party though he said Atty. Chel Diokno is his senatorial bet. Diokno is part of Leni Robredo and Kiko Pangilinan’s senatorial slate.
