Versatile Kapuso actor Jeric Gonzales bares his tender heart in his latest single under GMA Music, “Hihintayin Kita,” now available on various streaming platforms worldwide.
The track, written and music video directed by the award-winning director Louie Ignacio, talks about the magic of how unconditional love overpowers the hardships of waiting.
“’Hihintayin Kita’ is a song about waiting for someone you love, and you are hoping that someday that person will come back to you. It’s all about unconditional love, how time will make a way for you to find it and finally have it,” shares Jeric, describing how the song is the perfect track to everyone waiting for love—whether it’s the right time or the right person. “Have faith in love and in time, because if you really want and love someone, whatever happens, that person will always come back to you, no matter the circumstances, love will find you at the right time.”
The song was also the theme song for Broken Blooms, the only Filipino film selected to screen at the 41st Oporto International Film Festival in Portugal. It is also directed by Louie Ignacio and stars Jeric, Therese Malvar, and Royce Cabrera.
“I feel super blessed, and I am so thankful to Bentria Productions, producer Engr. Benjie Austria, our great director Direk Louie Ignacio, creative producer Ferdy Lapuz, our line producer Dennis Evangelista, all the cast, and the whole team. Direk Louie is an amazing director. He will inspire you to have good work ethics as he brings out the best in you. I have been dreaming of this for a very long time, to have a film that will be in a prestigious international film festival, and I hope that the talents of the Filipinos in the film industry will be recognized more in the international scene,” says Jeric.
“Hihintayin Kita” will be launched in All-Out Sundays this March 20 and is now available for streaming on various digital platforms worldwide.
