Several netizens and social media personalities supportive of Vice President Leni Robredo’s presidential bid pushed back on Marcos Jr. supporters’ propaganda on the use of teleprompters.
Marcos Jr. supporters are all over social media making big issues on teleprompters to discredit and mock the Vice President.
But Kakampink netizens and social media personalities were all out to counter the Marcos Jr camp’s latest propaganda.
Pinoy Ako Blog, in her tweet, brushed off the issue, saying the use of teleprompter is a non-issue, but what comes out from the mouth of the speaker despite having a teleprompter in front of them.

She also blasted one of Marcos’ fake news bloggers Mark Lopez who mocked VP Leni for using a teleprompter in her campaign sorties.
PAB chastised Lopez for making the teleprompter a big issue but quiet to Marcos’ absence in debates.

Former PCOO Usec Jr Santiago lectured the Marcos trolls about the importance of teleprompter during speeches.
He said using a teleprompter is a sign of respect from the speaker because spectators or the audience deserve a clear and concise message.
“Ang paggamit sa teleprompter ay pagpapakita ng respeto sa mga nakikinig sa’yo dahil gusto mong ipahiwatig nang maayos ang mensahe mo. Respeto rin sa mga tumulong sa’yo na isulat ang talumpati mo. Ang pagbalewala sa teleprompter, at magkwento na para kang lasing, yun ang bastos.”
Ang paggamit sa teleprompter ay pagpapakita ng respeto sa mga nakikinig sa’yo dahil gusto mong ipahiwatig nang maayos ang mensahe mo.

Theatre actor Reb Atadero also commented saying the use of teleprompters or notes is the speaker’s guide so as not to stray from the topic. He also slammed the trolls saying campaign speeches are not declamation contests.
“Teleprompter naman ang issue ngayon. Bawal po bang may prepared speech sa rally? If you’ve ever given a speech, hosted, or even attended an event, you have a prompter or a piece of paper for your notes to guide you so you don’t stray off-topic. Hindi ‘to declamation contest.”

To counter the propaganda of BBM supporters, some netizens also shared pictures of Marcos Jr. also reading from a teleprompter.

@pricessfrance, on the other hand, reminded netizens that even Presidents of the country use teleprompter in their speeches, especially during their State of the Nation Address (SONA).

Rappler correspondent Mara Cepeda as shared by PAB meanwhile clarified that the use of teleprompters is standard practice for big events. But she also mentioned that VP Leni delivered extemporaneous speeches in her other small sorties.
