Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez is rumored of permanently replacing Karla Estrada in the Kapamilya morning talk show Magandang Buhay.
Karla was one of the main hosts of Magandang Buhay alongside Melai Cantiveros and Jolina Magdangal. But she was replaced with Regine who became a host on January 31.
Accordingly, Momshie Karla took a leave of absence after she joined the Tingog Sinirangan as a nominee of the party-list group. She is then not allowed to appear on air during the campaign period.
In Regine Velasquez’s Kapamilya Strong 2022 contract signing on February 23, she denied the rumors about being the permanent replacement of Karla in the morning show.
She said that she is simply a guest host in the show.
“Guest host pa lang ako ngayon sa ‘Magandang Buhay’ kasi wala si Momshie Karla so I am the one doing her part now. But I am having such a wonderful time working with Jolina [Magdangal] and Melai [Cantiveros].
“Yung mga nanonood sa amin tuwing umaga, napapansin siguro na tawa lang kami ng tawa. Para lang akong naglalaro. I do hosting in ‘ASAP’ pero iba ‘yung format ng ‘Magandang Buhay’. Naalala ko ang ginawa ko dati. Medyo na-miss ko,” said Regine.
She also said that she was happy to be a part of Magandang Buhay.
“I am so happy that I was given the opportunity to do a morning show with two other girls who I love very much. They are all so game, sobrang nag-e-enjoy lang talaga ako.
“Hindi pa naman po ako totoong host. Nagpanggap pa lang ako right now. Pero gaya nga ng sabi ko, sobrang saya ko na mabigyan ako ng pagkakataon na maging special host ng ‘Magandang Buhay,’” said Regine.
