James Reid is rumored of leaving the Philippines for good after he fled to the US to pursue his career.
On Instagram, a post about Reid’s friends threw him a going-away party. They even gave him a cake with the dedication, “Bon Voyage and Good Luck James Reid.”
Reid’s sister, Chantal Calicdan also dedicated an Instagram post for the actor on February 16.
“Go rockstar! @james,” said Chantal.

Netizens also gave well wishes to Reid on twitter. They said that they will support the actor in his career move.
In an interview in June 2022, Reid admitted that he wanted to pursue his career in music even though he loves acting.
“I love acting. But sometimes after doing teleserye after teleserye, it gets repetitive and I felt like kind of robotic. I craved something that came from me, that I can really express. I was just following instructions. It wasn’t feeding my soul.
“It was difficult for me to step away from all of that because I was in a very good place. But I stepped away from doing that and I chose something more difficult, which is something that I still had to grow in [such as] making music and production, writing songs,” he said.
Although Reid did not mention where he is going, fans speculated that he will go to Los Angeles, the city where his label Transparent Arts is based.
Some fans have also spotted the actor’s arrival in Los Angeles, California.
Transparent Arts is an agency that aims to promote Asian-American talents.
