Singer Jonalyn Viray, commonly known as Jona, responded to a basher who claimed that she has no gratitude to her previous home network, GMA Network.
Jona was with the Kapuso network for about a decade before she decided to transfer to ABS-CBN in February 2016.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, February 8, Jona shared that she is aware that people speak ill of her but she often disregards them.
“Pag narinig mong pinagtsitsismisan ka ng mga marites mong kapitbaha. Pero girl…walk past ka na lang, just flip your bangz and say ‘Lord bless them’…. coz u know ur better than that!”
In a now-deleted comment, one netizen said that Jona lacks gratitude for the GMA network who honed her.
“Sana may feeling of gratitude kung sino ang nag develop sayo. Lingon-lingon din sa pinaggalingan,” said the netizen.
Jona responded by simply attaching an article by PEP where she expressed her gratitude for both ABS-CBN and GMA network.
“Hi Dorotea! Kindly click and read the whole article. Just in case you missed reading this, here it is.
“Jona on being grateful to GMA-7 and ABS-CBN: ‘Sobrang nagpapasalamat ako doon. And nagpapasalamat din ako sa GMA for understanding, for allowing me and for ALL the support din nila sa akin noong mga panahon na iyon. Thankful din naman ako sa ABS din noong simula na iyon kasi in-open din nila iyong door para sa akin,” said Jona.
Jona is currently a regular performer at the Kapamilya variety show ASAP Natin ‘To. She previously said that ABS-CBN rebranded her image by changing her genre from ballads to upbeat songs.
