ABS-CBN’s efforts to engage its audiences on social media were recently recognized by the De La Salle Araneta University (DLSAU) community after ABS-CBN was named the Most Outstanding Facebook Page at the 4th Gawad Lasallianeta.
With 32.7 million followers, ABS-CBN remains the most followed page in the Philippines on Facebook, where it continues to give fans updates about the company’s stars and various offerings, engages them in conversations with other fans, and regularly publishes engaging content and highlights of classic and currently airing shows. It also hosts Kapamilya Online Live, which offers ABS-CBN programming from morning to evening.

ABS-CBN’s leadership on Facebook boosts the company’s transition into being an agile digital company with the biggest online presence among all media companies, and a growing list of digital properties that appeal to a wide array of audiences. In 2020, ABS-CBN’s Facebook marked a major milestone as it became the first page by any Filipino media network or personality to hit more than 20 million likes.
The 4th Gawad Lasallianeta, which was held last week as part of DLSAU’s celebration of its 76th founding anniversary, aims to recognize the most effective and the most influential media and social media personalities and shows in the country. Winners were determined through a university-wide online survey among all DLSAU admin staff, faculty members, parents, and students.
