The AlDub nation was on red alert when news broke out on Twitter that Alden Richards, the love team partner of Maine “Yaya Dub” Mendoza, figured in a car accident this Friday morning March 4.
Fans got all worried that the Pambansang Bae was hurt in the accident. Luckily, the actor was safe.
Fashion Pulis screen captured some pictures that were shared by concerned citizens on social media. According to a certain Ivan, Alden looked traumatized and was sitting on the gutter when they passed by his dilapidated car.
Alden’s friend, Nate Gonzaga, confirmed that the actor really got into a car accident but otherwise, he was ok.
Judging from the pictures shared with Fashion Pulis, the front fender of Alden’s car was dented and the hood took some beating. It looked like Alden’s car bumped the tail end of the car in front of him.
Knowing how fans are so concerned with every little thing that happens to AlDub, Alden quickly reassured his fans on Twitter and said, “Ok lang po ako!” (I’m ok.)

His father, who also has thousands of fans on Twitter, immediately posted a message. He said, “Don’t worry guys….Just a light car accident. #thankyouLord”
GMA Network was also very quick in issuing a statement, before the avid fans get in a state of panic regarding the accident.
GMA Vice President for Corporate Communications, Angela Javier, has this message: “Kapuso star Alden Richards figured in a minor vehicular accident this morning. We would like to assure his fans and supporters that Alden is safe and doing well. Alden would like to thank everyone for praying for his safety.”
According to Inquirer Alden was with his friend Mama Tenten inside the car when the accident happened. Tenten was also unhurt.
Perhaps all the worries of the fans flew out of the window when they saw Alden on ‘Kalyeserye’, a couple of hours after the car accident. He was the usual Alden who was dubsmashing and exchanging jokes and pick-up lines with Yaya Dub on split screen, as if nothing happened. What a trouper!
