In a facebook post on Saturday, February 5, Jay Sonza claimed that Sarah Geronimo is a Bongbong Marcos-Sara Duterte tandem supporter.
Sonza said that Geronimo is one of the “well respected and decorated entertainment personalities” who are rallying behind the UniTeam of Marcos and Duterte.
He also included the names of Toni Gonzaga, multi-awarded actress Elizabeth Oropesa, and Asia’s Grand Prix winner Dulce.
He shared, “Nagtatanong lang ako ha. Huwag ninyo hahaluan ng malisya.
Bakit iyong mga well respected and decorated entertainment personalities are rallying behind the UniTeam of BBM-SARA? i.e. The queen of all media Toni Gonzaga. The multi-awarded female actor Elizabeth Oropesa. The pop princess and new concert queen Sarah Geronimo. Asia’s Grand Prix winner Dulce.”
Geronimo did not release any statement about the candidates she is endorsing.
Sonza is known as a peddler of fake news. Recently, he spread another false news saying that Julia Barretto is pregnant and Gerald Anderson is the father of the child.
“Napatunayan nina Visoy (Visayan tisoy) Gerald Anderson at anak nina Dennis Padilla at Marjorie na si Julia Barreto na kapuwa hindi sila baog. After months of love lockdown and ESQ (exact sex quadrant) – may nabuo sa sinapupunan ni Julia,” he wrote on facebook.Â
This was disproved by Barrettto who filed a cyber libel case against Sonza.
She said, “I am pursuing this case because the statements made by Mr. Sonza are untrue and irresponsible.Â
“The widespread reposting of the news based on his post caused distress to me and my faÂmily. I don’t want to take this matter lightly.”
He was summoned by NBI, however, and was a no-show.
