Maris Racal and Rico Blanco on Wednesday, February 2, both aim to have a happier and more fulfilling relationship as the years pass.
In the virtual media conference of The Goodbye Girl, which the couple is part of, Racal said she is looking forward to having a lot of firsts with her boyfriend.
“Yung mga firsts namin and new memories namin lalo na may mga plans kami na na-put on hold muna because of the pandemic. We don’t really go out as much, mga travel and all. So ‘yon ang nilu-look forward ko: new memories with him and it’s sure going to be a lot of fun and I’m sure mas makikilala pa namin ang isa’t-isa,” she said.
On the other hand, Blanco hoped that their relationship would become deeper with age.
“Ako years from now I hope na the relationship is deeper and richer with so much more memories, music, acting projects, and stories.”
He added that now that their relationship is out to the public, he is certain that they will be bringing their fans along the journey.
“And it seems like we’re gonna take everyone on this journey ‘di ba? Kasi parang ganoon na eh. You’re part of this journey and of course, there are things that are private lang and sa amin lang.”
Meanwhile, the series had Racal realizing how chill her boyfriend is on set.
“Yes lagi. Lagi po as in sa taping na ‘to ang na-discover ko kay Rico so chill!” she exclaimed.
The actress revealed that, unlike her boyfriend, who seems relaxed during tapings, she, on the other hand, was very organized and stressed.
“Si Rico sobrang chill niya pala kapag nagte-taping. Ang saya nito ka-tandem kasi nadadamay ako sa pagka-chill niya.”
The former Rivermaya vocalist then explained that his behavior comes with experience. He, however, was surprised to see that because of the pandemic, tapings have now become more organized.
“I think it’s because I came from another time. Nakatrabaho ko si Direk Derick (Cabrido) dati and even before Direk Derick.
“I think it’s a little more organized now than it was before especially with the hours [being] more limited now.”
The Goodbye Girl is about Yanna (Angelica Panganiban), a heartbroken girl who talks about her failed relationship through a series of videos.
When her recordings became viral, she landed a book deal and met JC de Vera’s character.
The show is co-produced by Dreamscape Entertainment and Clever Minds.
It also stars Loisa Andalio, Barbie Imperial, Elisse Joson, RK Bagatsing, Joshua Colet, Ronnie Alonte, and Turs Daza.
