On January 4, actress Janine Gutierrez expressed gratitude to ABS-CBN for giving her the romantic comedy project she always wanted.
During the media conference for the finale media con of Marry Me Marry You, she shared her experience working in her first Kapamilya teleserye.
“The best sobrang saya, I’m so thankful. Paulit-ulit ko naman ito sinasabi, matagal ko nang ginusto na makagawa ng Rom-Com and I’m so thankful for our fans, sa lahat ng sumuporta from the beginning, hanggang sa finale media con nandito kayo and sobrang kinapitan niyo ‘yung kwento namin. I hope nabigyan natin ‘yung isa’t isa ng saya this 2021.”
She then shared behind-the-scenes stories about the cast and their family-like bond on the set of Marry Me Marry You.
“Binusog nila ako ng pagkain at pambu-bully. But, I’m really so happy to be part of this cast especially with Jake [Ejercito], Pau[lo Avelino], and everyone. I think we gelled so well, and sobrang pamilya talaga kami kasama ng lahat sumuporta sa show.”
She then recalled reading a message from a Pinoy fan from Italy who watched the Kapamilya romantic comedy series.
“There was one message na si Rose from Italy, pinapanood niya ‘yung Marry Me Marry You to stay close to her Filipino roots and values, and kung paano magmahal ‘yung pamilyang Pinoy. So happy ako na naging connection kami sa lahat ng Kapamilya worldwide.”
Gutierrez transferred to ABS-CBN in January 2021 after almost a decade of working with GMA network. Her first teleserye with the Kapamilya network is the romantic comedy series, Marry Me Marry You.Â
She stars alongside former Kapuso actress Sunshine Dizon, Jake Ejercito, and Paulo Avelino.
