On Thursday, December 23, Kapuso actress Yasmien Kurdi has two reasons she chose to remain with GMA Network, her home for 18 years.
Never felt abandoned by the Network since she began her career in 2003 as the First Princess in the talent search–Starstruck.
“I remain a Kapuso kasi ang GMA po never naman nila ako pinabayaan, inaalagaan nila ako all throughout, damang-dama ko po ang pagmamahal nila sa’kin, at tinuring nila akong parang anak hindi bilang katrabaho kundi bilang pamilya nila.
“Nararamdaman ko po talaga yun sa kanila. And ang dali po nilang lapitan kapag may kailangan ako, or may itatanong ako, may advises na ibibinigay nila sa’kin na sobrang nata-touch po sa mga bagay na ‘yon, mga gestures na ‘yon,” said the actress in her virtual media conference.
Kurdi also was given projects that made her inspire other people.
“I remained a Kapuso dahil ang ganda ng mga projects na binibigay nila sa akin. It’s very inspirational. At the same time, you know through that roles, I get to inspire other people too. Kaya I remain a Kapuso,” pointed Kurdi.
Her being with the GMA network for almost two decades stressed that she could not see herself with any other network other than the one she is with right now.
“Hindi ko po makita hahaha. Parang ang hirap pong i-imagine ‘yon. Kung iisipin ko, parang ang hirap.”
Kurdi renewed her contract with GMA Artist Center on December 16.
She currently plays Dorothy in the Network’s afternoon show Las Hermanas.
