On December 1, Matteo Guidicelli expressed his hopes of having more “out-of-the-box” guests for the second season of Masked Singer Pilipinas.
During an interview for the second season of TV5’s unique musical mystery competition, Guidicelli said it would shock them if they had Martin Nievera and Bamboo as one of their mystery singers.
“If Tito Martin Nievera was here, Bamboo was here, and they would change their voice, it would really be a shock for all of us.”
He then teased about their show having grander set designs and costumes for the second season.
“For production wise, ‘yung mga costumes ng contestants natin talagang mas bongga ngayon, mas exciting. Last year we have had guest judges, ngayon we have an exciting addition to the judges panel. And the contestants, ‘yung mga masked singers namin, sobra exciting ‘yung mga performances nila.”
Guidicelli also shared his thoughts on why it piqued the public’s interest in Masked Singer Pilipinas, which paved the way for the second season of the musical mystery competition.
“These artists, trademark na ‘yung boses nila, sobrang lakas, sobrang big in the industry. At kapag marinig mo sila alam mo na. Pero ‘yung problema diyan, pag dating nila dito sa stage, iniba nila ‘yung boses nila.
“So, mawawala ‘yung trademark ‘yung boses nila. So, we get confused, ‘Sino ba ‘to? Sino ba talaga ‘to?’ Every performance is always a bongga performance. [They] Really shock all of us, makes us stunned most of the time.”
He then expressed his hopes of getting more seasons for Masked Singer Pilipinas.
“The show is doing well. We’re rating very, very good every weekend. So nagpapasalamat kami sa mga kababayan namin that supports the show. Hopefully, we will have a season three, four, five in the future. And have exciting, out-of-the-box guests in the show.”
Guidicelli returns as one of the judge detectives alongside Aga Muhlach, Cristine Reyes, and Kim Molina for the second season of Masked Singer Pilipinas in 2022 on TV5.
