“Wow!” was only DonBelle could say after the trailer of their upcoming movie Love is Color Blind dubbed them as the “new gen phenomenal loveteam,” Thursday, December 12.
Following the success of their series He’s into Her, DonBelle, was surprised after the press pointed out that they are being named such title by their own movie.
“Honestly, it’s super flattering,” Belle Mariano said during the film’s virtual media conference.
Donny Pangilinan explained that it was a surprise since it was their first look at the final trailer for their movie.
“Yeah it’s super flattering of course. Very much appreciated, humbling. And we’re just happy that you know, first of all, now that we saw the trailer. Kasi when we first saw it, wala pa yung mga scoring, tsaka yung title, final scenes, and final lines.”
He even admitted he had goosebumps seeing the teaser for the first time.
“If I really had goosebumps from the start, now hearing that pa parang mas dumagdag.”
Love is Color Blind is DonBelle’s first-ever movie, and they were pressured about the outcome of their film.
Pangilinan pointed, “Eh wow pinapangarap lang natin to dati. You know, if you want to enter the industry, to have your own movie, you know, with Star Cinema pa, parang what more can you ask for? So of course, may pressure po talaga.”
However, the young actor stressed that they were feeling was “good pressure.”
“…siyempre kailangan naming ibigay ang lahat. Yung trust din, binigay sa’min. So it’s good pressure and we are just hoping for the best. Sana magustuhan niyo yung movie.”
Mariano added that she would worry if there was no pressure at all.
“At least doon pa lang, knowing that there’s pressure, alam po namin na kailangan naming gawin ang best namin sa bawat scene, bawat eksena na gagawin namin.”
Love is Color Blind also includes John “Sweet” Lapus, Jeremiah Lisbo, Angelina Cruz, Ariel Rivera, Eula Valdez, and TikTok sensation Esnyr Ranollo.
Directed by John Leo D. Garcia, the movie is set to premiere on December 10 and will be available on iWantTFC, KTX.ph, Smart GigaPlay, Cignal PPV, Sky Cable PPV, and TFC IPTV.
