On November 9, Mega Star Sharon Cuneta said she’s honored to be part of the long-running Kapamilya series, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
During the media conference, Sharon shared how she accepted the offer and her role in FPJAP right away.
“It’s also a dream come true, kasi makakasama mo, you know, you’re in a position to say, wag na muna magpapahinga na lang ako sa bahay kasi mahirap mag-taping tapos on location pa. Pero ito talagang, ‘Oh my God, this is Ang Probinsyano, you cannot say no ‘to. So it’s really an honor for me to be part of the cast.”
Sharon then detailed how Coco Martin and the Kapamilya network offered her the part in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, noting that accepting the role was a “no brainer.”
“Ako ang dali lang, when Coco–when Tita Cory sent me a text message, we’d like to offer you a role in Ang Probinsyano, sabi ko yes agad. Coco and we, nagka-zoom kami na meeting, and Coco pitched the story to me, ‘yung character ko. For me it was a no brainer. Kasi for me sino ba ang ayaw maging part ng Ang Probinsyano.
“Ang ano ko lang, ang nerbiyos ko parang, Oh My God, Paano gumawa ng teleserye na everyday. Parang sanay ako na movies di ba eh. Or I had a serye di ba? Iba ‘yung seryosong drama tapos Kapamilya di ba? At ‘yung ang laki-laki noong papasukin kong teleserye kasi it’s been number one for six years. So it’s a no brainer for me. Oo agad.”
She then expressed her interest in contributing to FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano further success.
“Siguro my desire na lang is to contribute what I can sa ikakaganda ng show. I like being a team player. I like being part of something that is being /built to be better. So excited ako doon because apparently, we all have the same mindset.”
Sharon also noted that she’s looking forward to seeing the family-like treatment on the set of FPJAP.
“Tapos family daw. Ramdam mo eh, family sila, and all my friends na sila John Estrada, si Osang, ‘Masaya to, napakasaya ng set na ito.’ It gives me something to look forward to lalo. So it gives me something to look forward to lalo. Hindi na takot, kung hindi ‘yung excitement na nangingibabaw.
“I want to be able to give my best to the show because they took such good care of me. My role, pinag-isipan, pati nga pag welcome nga sa akin, over the top. It’s so overwhelming. I want to /give my best to the show.”
