The full version of this year’s ABS-CBN Christmas station ID theme song has inspired and warmed the hearts of faithful Kapamilya viewers.
Ahead of the release of the full music video, Andito Tayo Sa Isa’t Isa has moved Kapamilya audiences with the release of the full version, the official theme song for the year’s Christmas station ID.
The release of ABS-CBN’s station IDs has long been the cue for many Filipinos to start the long celebration of Christmas in their homes. Like the past Kapamilya Christmas station ID anthems, this year’s tune feels more than enough to keep the magic that these station IDs have brought for the past two decades.
Andito Tayo Sa Isa’t Isa recounts the Filipino struggle during the pandemic, which still persists as Christmas day approaches.
Featuring some of the Network’s biggest personalities, the lyric video is a touching homage to the ones who made the most sacrifices during the pandemic—modern-day heroes who held the line and kept the frontlines defended. Like the past Christmas IDs, Andito Tayo Para Sa Isa’t Isa echoes largely the same sentiments that made the likes of Star ng Pasko and Thank You, Ang Babait Ninyo, iconic Holiday tracks; it puts emphasis on our faith in the Almighty and the humanity, to our undying resilience, and our sense of ‘bayanihan’ (brotherhood) at a time most of us need help.
The recording video also highlights some of ABS-CBN’s biggest stars who emerged after the shutdown. Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano, a.k.a. DonBelle join premiere love team Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla a.k.a. KathNiel in singing parts of the track.
Similarly, BGYO, one of the Network’s banner groups—the other one being BINI—poured their hearts out in delivering one of the most memorable lines of the song.
Piolo Pascual and Sarah Geronimo, two of the biggest Kapamilya homegrowns, whom most fans thought would leave the Network after the shutdown, touched so many hearts with their presence in this year’s Christmas ID.
The Megastar Sharon Cuneta held a special spot with her gracing the opening and closing frames of the lyric video, which signifies her stature as among the Network’s most prized celebrities.
ASAP staples, Gary Valenciano, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Martin Nivera, Darren Espanto, KZ Tandingan, Erik Santos, Inigo Pascual, Regine Velasquez, and Ogie Alcasid, each sang important parts. Vice Ganda had his moments, too.
With Andito Tayo Para Sa Isa’t Isa, ABS-CBN again cemented its place as the pioneering figure in delivering anthemic holiday theme songs, that will surely fill the malls, commercial establishments, and residences once again, proving the network’s enduring influence on how we celebrate the Holiday season, despite its shutdown last year.
