On October 21, Asia’s Soul Supreme KZ Tandingan admitted feeling nervous for 11:59’s international release.
During the media conference for 11:59, Tandingan said she felt nervous that her song that is two years in the making, won’t be released.
“Parang nag-two years old na ‘yung song. I was really nervous na hindi namin mare-release ‘yung kanta. But I’m thankful that ABS-CBN, Tarsier, my ABS-CBN family, my management did the best they could despite everything na pinagdaanan natin. So I’m just super grateful na ‘yun na-record namin siya.”
She shared her thoughts on the meaning behind her first international single.
“11:59 is a song about lovers, sa journey nila sa pag-ibig. Trying to find out their next step sa pag-ibig. But the problem is parang isa lang ata ang sigurado kung gusto ba nilang mag-move forward together.”
Tandingan then gushed while noting that the Grammy Nominated Producer, Lugo Gonzalez worked on her first international single.
“And syempre it’s produced–my gosh. I can’t even believe I’m saying this. This song is produced by Grammy Nominated–Grammy Nominated musical genius, Lugo Gonzalez. So I’m excited for you to hear the song.”
Gonzalez then revealed in a pre-recorded interview that he wrote 11:59 ten years ago with some of his friends.
“I’m very, very excited. I’m really happy that 11:59 is finally being released after ten years and many different versions of the song that we had. It’s finally being released by somebody who represents that song entirely.”
The team-up of Grammy-Nominated producer Luigie “Lugo” Gonzalez, Paulino Lorenzo, and Idrise Ward-El brought life to Tandingan’s first international single.
Tandingan’s 11:59 is under Tarsier Records and was released October 22 with its own music video, directed and conceptualized by Dominic Bekaert of Zoopraxi Studios.
11:59 is available on music streaming platforms worldwide starting October 22, while its music video is on Tarsier Records’ YouTube channel.
