2021 is nearing its end in two months or so, and people have seen some of the most shocking network transfers among big stars in the entertainment industry.
In January, Kapusos and Kapamilyas saw the actress Janine Gutierrez‘s confirmation on her transfer to the Kapamilya network after months of speculations.
After her transfer, she started working on projects such as Maalaala Mo Kaya and now her own Kapamilya teleserye with Paulo Avelino in Marry Me Marry You.
Then in April, seasoned actress Sunshine Dizon confirmed her transfer to the Kapamilya Network. It shocked many of her fans since the actress was on GMA Network for 25 years.
She joined fellow transferee, Gutierrez in their romantic comedy series.
While in June, Kapamilyas were shaken to hear the comedienne Pokwang’s confirmation of her transfer to GMA network. She then worked on projects such as Magpakailanman, Wish Ko Lang, and Dear Uge.
Though, no longer with Star Magic, the most unbelievable network transfer was that of former Kapamilya actress Bea Alonzo, who signed her contract with GMA network in July. Her transfer spurred several reactions throughout the entertainment circuit. According to reports, she will have a movie with Kapuso actor Alden Richards and an upcoming teleserye.
Then in September, Xian Lim confirmed that he’s a new Kapuso following his announcement of a project with GMA Network. Although, Lim clarified that he’s still under the management of the Viva Artist Agency.
The latest of the transferees is Lovi Poe. She confirmed her new status as a Kapamilya on September 16, following the announcement of her upcoming project with Piolo Pascual and her Hollywood movie via The Chelsea Cowboy with Alex Pettyfer and Poppy Delivingne.
Despite the pandemic and ABS-CBN’s shutdown, these network transfers prove that the exchange of artists between networks remains, but a normal scenario.
