On Thursday, September 9, during the virtual press conference after Kapuso actor Rayver Cruz’s contract renewal with the Network, believed that his expectations were exceeded by GMA Network three years after being with them.
He could not contain his emotions after being given the chance to remain part of the Network’s roster of artists.
“Sobrang saya ko, sobrang thankful dahil up to now, tuluy-tuloy ang projects ko with GMA. Lahat pinagawa nila sa’kin at nakakatuwa yung tiwala nila.”
In 2017, Rayver transferred to GMA Network, and after spending quite some time as a Kapuso, he finally had the chance to unleash his full potential as an artist, being an actor, a dancer, a singer, and now as a host.
“Like for instance, siguro yung pagkanta ko. And now, hindi ko rin ine-expect na p’wede pala akong maging host.”
He then showed admiration to the Network that nurtured him and gave him the materials he needed to further hone his newly-discovered talents.
It may be the reason that the actor will not leave GMA network, no matter what.
After being asked what reason would make him stay as Kapuso, he turned emotional, noting that transferring is not an option for him right now because of how grateful he is to the media company.
I’m really with my Kapuso Network and GMA. So parang kahit na may ibang offer, siguro mag-stay muna ako sa GMA.
“For one, nilabas nila yung best ko eh.
“And tumatak sa’kin yun eh. At yun ang nagustuhan at talagang napamahal ako na ginawa sa’kin ng GMA Network,” Cruz said in a cracked voice.
In the meantime, he is busy with Nagbabagang Luha and has returned as a performer in All-Out Sundays. Other than the series and the variety show, the actor will also return in season two of The Clash as one of its clashmasters.
