LJ Reyes recalled her ‘painful’ conversation with her son Aki after her breakup with Paolo Contis.
Reyes and Contis recently broke off their 6-year relationship. Reyes confirmed it during her interview with Boy Abunda’s YouTube show The Boy Abunda Talk Channel.
She explained that their breakup was so heavy for her that she had to fly to the US and [physically] take out her kids from the situation.
Aside from admitting her separation from Contis, Reyes also shared how her child Aki asked about the real reason why she broke up with Contis.
“Napakasakit po ng tanong sa ‘kin ng anak kong ‘yun. I needed time. Hindi ko masagot on the spot.
“Sabi ko na lang sa anak ko, ‘wait lang sasagutin kita.’ Gusto ko kasi sa ‘kin manggaling ‘yung truth,” the actress explained.
Reyes turned emotional after her son pointed out that she completes their family.
“Sinabi ko sa kaniya na, ‘I’m sorry for everything. I wanted a complete family for you and Summer.’ Tapos sinabi niya sa ‘kin, ‘You complete us, mom.’ Na-touch po ako sa bata,” Reyes recalled.
Aki is the child of Reyes with Paulo Avelino. She and Contis also had one child Summer Ayana.
Breakup rumors between Contis and Reyes first started after the actor unfollowed Reyes on Instagram.
Third-party rumors then spread after Yen Santos, Contis’s co-star in the film Faraway Land, also unfollows everyone on Instagram.
A video clip of Contis with a mystery woman is also spreading online and netizens claim that it is Yen Santos.
