How did Jane De Leon’s last moments with FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano (FPJAP) fare in TV ratings?
After her almost six-month stint with the action-drama series, FPJAP, De Leon recently left in preparation for her Darna series.
Based on the latest figures of AGB NUTAM on August 20, De Leon’s departure from the show resulted in FPJAP‘s ranking 3rd with a rating of 11.8%.
GMA Network’s 24 Oras remained as the number one program having ratings of 19.1% while The World Between Us placed second with 12.9%.
FPJAP currently airs on A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, and TV5, and compared to GMA Network, which has around 60 stations nationwide, the said channels’ reach is limited.
Despite the limitations, FPJAP is still capable of keeping up in the competition.
The series recently broke its record in terms of concurrent views as De Leon’s departure attracted more than 160,000 concurrent viewers during its August 20 (Friday) episode.
The longest-running primetime TV action-drama series is yet to lose its steam as it announces an extension a few weeks before its sixth anniversary hits on air.
The TV ratings of FPJAP continue to soar despite the shutdown of ABS-CBN and its limitations in reaching its audience.
De Leon’s departure from the series was expected as it was reported that the taping for her series Mars Ravelo’s Darna: The TV Series will start in September.
