Viewers have really anticipated seeing the third identity of Nelson (Ken Chan) in the Kapuso Afternoon Prime Ang Dalawang Ikaw, as it showed through its TV ratings days before the revelation.
Based on the AGB Nielsen NUTAM People Ratings, before its August 12 episode, Ang Dalawang Ikaw continued to have great TV ratings garnering 6%, 6.5%, 6.4% on August 9-11, respectively.
During the Thursday episode of Ang Dalawang Ikaw, while Beatrice (Anna Vicente) and Mia (Rita Daniela) were fighting and causing a commotion, Nelson’s alternate personality, Tyler, suddenly makes his appearance.
The versatility of Chan as an actor was also highlighted, showing how incredibly and realistic his acting was when he quickly shifted to his other personality.
This much-anticipated scene helped the Kapuso show’s rating jumped even higher as it earned a rating of 7.2%—0.8% higher than its Wednesday episode.
Now that Nelson’s other persona has been revealed to his wife and mistress, the coming episodes of Ang Dalawang Ikaw will be much more intense, which will have a positive impact on its rating.
Meanwhile, other Kapuso shows continue earning good ratings based on the NUTAM People Ratings. On August 11, Kapuso news and current affairs program 24 Oras remained the most-watched television show in the Philippines with 18.2%. The World Between Us follows it at 12.9% and Legal Wives at 11.8%.
