Kuya Germs, as he is fondly called by everyone in showbiz and viewers who love him, started out as a janitor and “telonero” (curtain raiser) in Teatro Clover (Clover Theater, an old movie house). With his drive, determination, and hard work, he became a comedian and was well-known. In the ’70s, he got his big break when he hosted the noontime show “GMA Supershow” every Sunday.
Later, he became the host and producer of “That’s Entertainment” where many stars were discovered. His last TV show was “Walang Tulugan with the Master Showman.” Let’s look at the different roles he played:
