Piolo Pascual might break a promise he made upon returning as a Kapamilya.
Despite mentioning his quitting showbiz before, it seemed that he might soon work on his comeback project with the Kapamilya network.
This news surfaced after Pascual was recently seen in a virtual meeting with various ABS-CBN executives.
Through an Instagram story on August 2, Dreamscape Entertainment head Deo Endrinal shared photos taken from the virtual meeting, which was also attended by ABS-CBN executives Cory Vidanes, Lauren Dyogi, and Ruel Bayani, among others.
No details about the upcoming project were disclosed yet.
In his previous interview with Cinema One, the actor said that he never left the Kapamilya network despite others questioning his loyalty.
“At the end of the day, I never left,” he briefly said.
Pascual is one of the Kapamilya artists rumored to transfer to other networks. It was notable that he stopped having live performances on ASAP Natin ‘To, following his hosting stint for Brightlight Productions’ Sunday Noontime Live, which aired on TV5 last year.
In another statement, the 44-year-old actor reiterated that he is a Kapamilya and will soon be back to the Network.
He stated, “I’m a Kapamilya through and through, I don’t have to reiterate that. I’ll be back home for sure, pagkatapos ng mga meetings for sure.”
For a long time, he has done a lot of teleseryes. He previously admitted that it is something that he may not enjoy anymore.
“I’ve done more than a dozen soaps, I’ve been in the business for 20 years. It’s the same thing I’ve been doing the last 10 years. I want to be able to do other things and diversify.
“That’s something that… I don’t enjoy doing anymore. I don’t want to be stuck in a set. It’s hard. I mean, I don’t want to take it away from somebody else, but it’s not something that I wanna pursue now anymore,” he shared in an interview in June 2021.
The 2018 series, Since I Found You, was his last teleserye with the Network. He worked with Arci Muñoz, JC de Vera, Alessandra de Rossi, and Empoy in the series. It premiered on ABS-CBN’s Primetime Bida evening block from April 16 to August 10, 2018.
If not a teleserye, it is possible that the actor will do more future projects as a singer and as a host.
He is also expected to have regular appearances in ABS-CBN’s Sunday noontime show ASAP Natin ‘To as well.
