Actor-musician Matt Lozano admitted that he is pressured to play the role of Robert “Big Bert” Armstrong in the highly-anticipated GMA series, Voltes V: Legacy.
This will be his first major television role and Matt knew that all eyes are on him now.
“Yes. Sobrang nakaka-pressure kasi I can feel that lahat talaga ng mga mata nakatingin sa akin ngaton lalo na yung mga solid fans ng Voltes V,” Matt said in a virtual conference on Friday, July 30.
The male star said he is using the pressure to improve himself.
Lozano is presently occupied in preparing for his stunts under the training of an arnis grandmaster.
He shared, “Kaya naman yung pressure ko ngayon, ginagamit ko yung pressure ko ngayon para magtrain pa ng mas maigi para pagdating ko sa set handang-handa na ako.”
Voltes V is an action-fantasy series based on the popular Japanese anime of the same title.
It also stars Miguel Tanfelix as Steve Armstrong, Ysabel Ortega as Jamie Robinson, Raphael Landicho as “Little Jon” Armstrong, and Martin del Rosario as Prince Zardoz.
Lozano recently released his self-penned quarantine song Kwarto and surprised his fans with his performance in the online music show Spotlight Music Sessions.
He gained fame after winning Eat Bulaga’s singing competition Spogify ft. Singing Baes in 2016.
