Despite ABS-CBN‘s franchise loss, Kapamilya actor Joem Bascon promises not to leave the network regardless of the situations which led few of his co-stars’ decision to transfer to other networks. Bascon is grateful for what ABS-CBN has made him through the years.
Amidst all the issues facing Joem, he revealed that none of these had taken away his decision to stay with the network. The actor still feels happy despite the limited projects he receives from the Kapamilya station.
He is optimistic about the plans of ABS-CBN and is willing to wait for possible projects he’s aligned to have.
“Yes, masasabi ko po. They’re taking care of me, hindi naman nila ako nakakalimutan kapag may trabaho at hindi rin nila ako nakakalimutan kausapin kapag may problema,” Joem stated.
Joem Bascon started his showbiz career in 2006 when he appeared on the sitcom Let’s Go, which aired every Saturday. He was in the series from its first until the last season alongside Bangs Garcia, Alex Gonzaga, and Badjie Mortiz.
From then on, Bascon’s stint in showbiz blossomed as he appeared on both several TV and film shows produced by the network. These were Habang May Buhay, Walang Hanggan, Maalala Mo Kaya, Muling Buksan Ang Puso, The Legal Wife, and many others.
Nothing against other personalities who chose to transfer to other networks, Joem felt that it takes a personal choice to decide whether to shift.
Meanwhile, the actor has a film project with Lovi Poe called The Other Wife, directed by Prime Cruz. They will be joined by Rhen Escano and other casts. The film will revolve around a daring theme.
The actor stated that he wanted to do more films with various roles, personalities, and genres during his talk with his manager Allan Real.
“Binigyan ako ng Viva ng chance to be a lead sa pelikulang ito (The Other Wife), siguro po unti-unti.
The film will be streamed on July 16 with its global premiere on KTX.ph, IWanTFC, TFC IPTV, and VivaMax.
Now that he’s a father to his son, Guido, Joem takes on new challenges and is ready to accept any opportunity that may come his way to help him support his growing family, with Meryll Soriano being his partner.
He proudly shared that Guido has become a blessing to their relationship. He also described his son in so many ways.
When asked about the most precious present Willie Revillame, the father of Meryll, has ever gifted his son, Bascon said that it’s love that Guido received from his grandfather.
“Pagmamahal kasi nakikita namin yung saya niya habang kasama niya (si Guido),” the actor responded.
