Frasco Mortiz, a former ABS-CBN director and creative, appears to be fed up with fans bickering over Bea Alonzo’s decision to switch to Kapuso network despite her unfinished business with ABS-CBN.
On a social media reaction, Mortiz replied on a post expressing his side to Bea Alonzo’s issue with ABS-CBN due to her pending soap series.
According to the reply, Frasco revealed that he was one of the directors of the supposed project. Mortiz stated that there were reasons why the actress cut business with the project and on that note, he defended Bea on issues she is facing at the height of her entrance to the GMA network.

Edgar Mortiz’s son made remarks to those who are bashing the actress on social media platforms. In a tweet, he stated that there are more pressing matters to address than the purported rivalry between ABS-CBN and GMA.
“Ang dami-daming dapat problemahin inuuna pa ang network wars. 20 years ago pa nauso yan, ibahin niyo na ngayon. Imbes na manghila pababa, matuwa na lang sa bagong karera ng mga idolo niyo, mapa-Kapamilya, Kapuso o Kapatid pa yan,” Mortiz expressed.
“Ba’t ang daming bitter? Basta ako, I’m happy for Bea Alonzo. (heart emoji) #ProudtoBEAKapuso,” he added.
Now that this issue continues to surface online, netizens are still unconvinced to Bea Alonzo’s take when she discussed her justifications to her unsettled issue with the Kapamilya network at her grand welcome conference with GMA on July 1.
“I was doing a soap for them. But then nagkaron ng pandemic. And alam naman natin na maraming pagbabago. So nagkaroon rin ng pagbabago sa story. And we came to a decision na hindi na lang matutuloy yung soap,” Alonzo disclosed.
Some of the ABS-CBN directors and writers also took part in the issue posting their sentiments to Bea’s unfinished project with the network. These went viral with mixed reactions made by netizens.
On his Facebook page, ABS-CBN writer, Henry King Quintain detailed how much the network spent on Alonzo’s now-canceled project.
“Pag may iniwan kang project at gumastos na ang kompanya ng milyon. Sana bayaran mo na lang yung nagastos. Anyway siguro naman kikitain mo lahat yan. Kasi naghihikahos na nga kami, hindi naman biro yung itatapon na lang na pera ng kompanya kasi iniwan mo na lang basta,” ranted Quintain.
Statements from Erik Salud and Ethel Espiritu who are both ABS-CBN director and executive, respectively, gained reactions.
“So ayun nga. Lumipat nga ang isang aktres. Bakit kaya? Eh may project siya na nasimulan at na-promote na prior pandemic. Tapos say niya, ‘di pa siya readt magshooting. Ayun pala lilipat. AAAARTE!!! Naghihirap ba siya? Eh may big farm nga. Kaloka siya!!!” Salud tweeted.
Meanwhile, Espiritu shared her story-to-tell on a Twitter post. Bea was inconsiderate and ungrateful, according to the executive, after leaving an unfinished project with the network.
Iba-iba kasi ang kuwento ng mga lumilipat. Yung iba maiintindihan mo talaga. Pero kung ikaw, me iniwang “unfinished business” inofferen ka pa BUT you still chose otherwise, turnoff talaga. Unless me very valid reason siya. BUT, otherwise? INCONSIDERATE. Sabi ng iba? INGRATO.
