TV host Toni Gonzaga revealed what happened to her sister Alex Gonzaga after getting terminated from her former show on ABS-CBN.
In an interview with Wil Dasovich on his YouTube channel, SuperHuman, Toni revealed that Alex suffered depression after getting removed from her Kapamilya show.
“Originally, si Alex, ‘yung YouTube channel n’ya was supposed to be our channel. I remember that. 2017 she was in my house, nasa dining area kami and wala na s’yang show. Tinangalan s’ya ng show sa network namin. She got so depressed. She was so down.”
Thankfully, the girlfriend of Toni’s brother-in-law convinced Alex to create her YouTube Channel.
“And then, I remember Winnie Wong, the girlfriend of Patrick, the brother of Paul told her na why don’t you open your own YouTube Channel, so at least you’re doing something.
“And Alex was like, ‘What’s a YouTube channel, and what will I do with my YouTube channel?’ And then Winnie told her, ‘It’s is a platform, you can do whatever you want. Just be true to who you are and what you want to do, and what you want to share.'”
Toni then recalled how Alex tried to convince her to open up a YouTube channel together.
“So si Alex was telling me in our dining area, ‘Ate, mag-open tayo ng YouTube channel. Sige na tayong dalawa.’ And then I was like, ‘What will I do there?'”
“And then she was saying, ‘Kung ako lang, walang manonood sa akin, kailangan kita para naman.'”
As it turns out, Toni and Alex came to an agreement that the TV host would appear as a guest on her sister’s first vlog.
“Ganon pa s’ya. Sabi n’ya, ‘Kailangan kita para may manood sa akin.’ Sabi ko, ‘Hindi ako pang YouTube.'”
“So ‘yun she was encouraging me na mag-open kami ng YouTube channel. Until, ‘Sige, ako magu-open ako, ako na lang. Pero, ikaw ang guest ko.'”
After getting removed from her show in the Kapamilya Network, Alex started her Channel in July 2017. After that, she flourished in vlogging by releasing various content featuring her family.
Aside from her career in vlogging, Alex also hosts Lunch Out Loud on TV5.
